Day 7 - Monte Carlo Rally

A two nighter, so no luggage today.
Our route was a short one of only 125 miles but the GPS estimated (accurately) it would take 6 hours.  The views of the Mediterranean from the mountains over Monaco and Nice were spectacular, in the rare moments when we could spare our attention from the 'challenging' roads.
I think we rode more (very tight) hairpins than the entire peleton (combined) on an alpine stage of the TDF. Some were so tight that 3 point turns were required!   At times the roads on the GPS looked like a very tangled knitting pattern.
It was agreed that we were glad we had done it but wouldn't be doing it again (especially the TomTom special shortcut).
Good news is that the hotel dining room is open tonight so a return to the pizza van (or the McDonald's) will not be needed.
