Day 7

The cunning ploy of Portugal using UK time meant 'losing 'am hours riding time for a day finishing in Spain.  Fortunately there were some quick sections to help make up time.
After avoiding the Saturday morning Portuguese speed trap we rode through olive groves and vineyards.  The early part of the route involved almost continual but flowing tight bends and it was a real challenge to ride smoothly and avoid using the brakes as much as possible.
The mid part was fast straight roads but with great scenery.  The final part was one of our GLT's with a bumpy road that clung to the hillsides followed by some more fast roads with great sweeping bends (although some did tighten up!)
The locals of their sports bikes came out to join us (and make us feel inferior, but they didn't have fully loaded up bikes) after 5 o clock.
In other news, my helmet is now officially a 'one-er' having been hit by a falling conker, and I finally shaved down some of my 'hero blob'
