Day 6 - Portugal

Ignoring our hosts advice, we stick to our intended route instead of through Portugal's only national park (forest). Or route took is over the tops through amazing rock strewn landscapes. The sections of 'pavé' were an interesting surprise.
Most of the rest of the day was spent on faster roads, although the constant small towns, with their speed limits, became an annoyance.
After taking in another 6 or so dams we were congratulating ourselves on a fabulous days riding.  The last 30 miles, however, threw in a few more GLT's as John has christened them (Graeme's Little Tests), not to mention several more sections of pavé.
The last 5 miles we were admiring the large white church/convent on the hill, little realising that was our accommodation for the night.  I only hope the clerical residents don't keep is up too late.
